FOCUS ON: D.R. Horton Homes - More choices for new homes in Northeast Florida (The Florida Times-Union)

D.R. Horton’s North Florida Division is growing its opportunities for buyers looking for brand new homes with new communities and models, more choices including condominiums, and the addition of Express Homes designed to make new homes attainable for more buyers.

This spring, the area’s top-selling builder is also offering special savings to make owning a new D.R. Horton home an even better value.

The Spring Into Savings Sale offers buyers extra values for a limited time on D.R. Horton Quick Move-In single-family homes, condominiums and Express Homes. According to Lauren Eastman, D. R. Horton’s North Florida Division sales manager, the offer includes $7,500 in options on Quick Move-In homes at no additional cost to buyers, such as a stainless French door refrigerator for condominiums, and built-in microwave, stainless French door refrigerator, washer/dryer and garage door opener in Express Homes.

Eastman said the offer is good on new purchase agreements at D.R. Horton North Florida communities written by March 29, 2015.

“We are making it easier for more people to own a brand-new home in more places with prices starting in the low $100s,” said Eastman. “Our lineup includes communities in highly desirable locations across the First Coast with options for first-time through move-up buyers.”

According to Eastman, there are currently more than 35 D.R. Horton communities in north Florida with more in the planning stage. One of the most recent to open is Magnolia West in Clay County featuring Express Homes from the mid-$140s. Located in Green Cove Springs, the community offers six plans ranging from approximately 1,544 square feet to 2,298 square feet. Homeowners enjoy a community pool, clubhouse, tot lot, kid’s splash area, fitness center, covered picnic area and tennis court.

“Magnolia West is a great example of how much demand there is locally for quality new homes at affordable prices,” said Nancy Beaudry, D.R. Horton’s new home sales consultant for Magnolia West. “There have already been 26 new homes sold at Magnolia West since opening and demand continues to be strong with the extra value offered during our Spring Into Savings Sale.”

Beaudry pointed out that D.R. Horton has more than 20 Quick Move-In Homes available at Magnolia West to meet demand. Two new decorated model homes, a Cali plan and a Galen plan, are now open.

D.R. Horton’s North Florida Division has more new communities now selling and several new decorated models in the queue for this year. These include locations in Nassau, Clay and St. Johns counties, adding even more choices to the already extensive offerings around the region, where buyers can take advantage of the Spring Into Savings Sale.

The Azalea Ridge community in Middleburg has two new model homes slated to open in April: the Osprey by D.R. Horton and Flora by Express Homes. These models will join the successful lineup of D.R. Horton plans at Azalea Ridge, where prices start in the $170s with homes ranging from approximately 1,540 square feet to 4,099 square feet. Express Homes are just being introduced in the community with more details on available plans and prices to be announced soon.

San Salito in St. Johns County is a new D.R. Horton community now selling and located just off Florida 16, east of Interstate 95. A decorated Lantana model with approximately 2,042 square feet will open soon according to Eastman, showcasing the Key West style architecture options for the community. There are 21 home plans offered with prices ranging from the mid-$200s, and currently over 15 Quick Move-In Homes are available. The community features a full amenity center including an expansive pool with kid’s splash area, clubhouse, fitness center and playground.

Also in St. Johns County, Aberdeen has had strong sales for D.R. Horton single-family homes in several neighborhoods of this master-planned community with every imaginable amenity. The builder has recently introduced its newest neighborhood, Aberdeen Greenstone, featuring attached-garage condominiums from the low $100s. Six floor plans are offered ranging from approximately 1,105 square feet to 1,447 square feet, and more than 20 Quick Move-In Condos are currently available. Two additional models are under construction with plans for an April opening.

Further north, Timberlake is a new community now selling in Fernandina Beach, with single family D.R. Horton Homes priced from $180s and Express Homes from the $150s. Timberlake is located off Amelia Concourse and features home sites with beautiful lake and preserve views. A total of 26 different floor plans are offered ranging from approximately 1,539 square feet to 4,099 square feet. A new D.R. Horton Destin and an Express Homes Cali model are under construction and should open in May.

Most communities have sales centers with furnished model homes. D.R. Horton recently introduced a new sales center design that is now being added to its communities around the region. These include a hospitality area with complimentary hot and cold beverages, site plans, displays and information on the community. Large monitors with the latest touch-screen technology also provide a robust menu for visitors, including interactive site plans, matching of homes to available sites, interactive floor plans, community information and more.
